And to start that out, I will list those Nine in my list of least to most favorite:
9. Chu-bra!! (Forgettable but cute.)
8. Hanamaru Kindergarten (Again, Forgettable but cute. also Hilarious)
7. Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (considering I disliked 8 of the 13 episodes, It ranked pretty low, but the soundtrack and art were fantastic.)
6. Shinryaku! Ika Musume (This shows a pretty constant comedy, never really wasn't good but also never pushed its boundaries.)
5. Black Rock Shooter (Though it was short and had weaker story, the art in this made it #5.)
4. Working!! (Easily the best dramedy this year, nuff said.)
3. K-On!! (unlike many other people, I enjoyed this show, it was a great slice of life/comdey, and a great sequel to K-On!)
2. My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute! (Again, i'm the minority here, I thought this drama was fantastic, a great story about a brother learning to love his sister as his sister.)
1. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (I have no words, if you've seen 'Haruhi', you will love the movie.)

Okay, now onto the full Best seen in 2010! Same order!
10. My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute! (Ore Imo)

I already said a little about this one, It was a great show. The story but a interesting spin on how otakuism is seen by the rest of the world. In the show Kirino is an otaku in secret as it is not a good thing nor is it normal to be one. She's also the biggest (pardon the language) B**ch you've ever met, this isn't just a Tsundere thing, no she's just mean. and that's why I had to put this as #10, the story was great but Kirinos character and all the drama online regarding the show kinda killed the enjoyment.
9. K-On!!

Again, already mentioned before. K-On! was a great show, a good slice of life with a good soundtrack. the second season, K-On!! continues their story, and if you really honestly just enjoy slice of life comedy, then K-On!! is prefect for you as it is more like Lucky Star, without a real plot, just the daily lives of these five girls. But i loved it, if it wasn't for all the other fantastic things I watched, it would have been higher.
8. Working!!

This one slipped by so many people! This is a Dramatic comedy about a little cafe`/restaurant, and the goings on of the quirky staff. This is one of the few shows I've seen that can seamlessly switch form being very emotional to making laugh out loud. Within seconds.
7. Scrapped Princess

This is a should-have-been classic. This is a fantastic sci-fi fantasy, the art is beautiful and the story is enthralling. I'm not usually one to like 'medevil fantasy' type stuff, but I loved this. I rank this as #7 because of the extremely well put together story, and great characters.
6. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Movie)

The animation was excellent, The pacing as well as the cinematography reminded me a lot of Gainax, which probably added to my enjoyment of the movie. A very funa nd fantastic story, definite recommend!
5. Black Rock Shooter (Movie)
A good story, but the animation and art were beautiful, like a moving art piece. The art is what scored it a #5 spot!
Okay! Hard hitters time!
4. Gunslinger Girl

OH DANG. Technically, I watched episode 13 in 2011, BUT I DON'T CARE.
Gunslinger girl was wonderful. it was dark, it was gritty, but delicate and sweet. the perfect mix of sadness and childlike joy. Although the premise sounds cheesy and 'magical girl'ish, its not. It completely shattered any expectations i had for it, it was fantastic. The story, beautiful art and fantastic Directing made it #4. I would say its even a good piece of film.
3. Paranoia Agent

From what I understand, this is the 2nd biggest Mind f***k anime of all time, (first being Perfect Blue) and I would believe it. Paranoia is a great Mystery thriller. I never quite knew what to expect. This deserves its place as a classic. Deserved #3, writing story, characters, directing.
2. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (Movie)

This movie is the pure climax for the entirety of everything that currently exists in animation containing Haruhi. Its enthralling, exciting, well written, and beautifully animated. #2 for sure. (if you've seen Haruhi seasons 1 and 2.)
1. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

What can Describe this anime? Not much. It seems like your classic mecha anime, but its more than that. its about philosophy, teamwork, moral rights of human beings, self confidence, and growing up. This ranks #1 For the pacing (27 episodes, not one of them spared for filler.), the directing, the soundtrack, the art, and the story. This is definitely on my top ten favorite anime of all time.
Other anime I saw this year:
Doujin Work *Honorable Mention*
Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society *Honorable mention*
Popotan *Honorable mention*
Kannagi
Kanon
Ponyo [Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea]
Air: The Movie
Fruits Basket
If you took the time to read all that, thank you!
